ClariRec is a menu-bar OCR app for macOS. It extracts text from screenshots (⌥S), clipboard images (⌥V), and image files — built for repeated capture, not one-off experiments.

Default recognition uses macOS Vision on your device. Optional BYOK OCR, cloud translation, and formula recognition send only what you trigger to the provider you configure. ClariRec does not operate content servers and does not include analytics SDKs.

Who builds it

ClariRec is developed by an independent Apple-platform developer focused on macOS utilities. The product is published under the ClariRec name on the Mac App Store. There is no venture-backed content farm behind these pages — the docs describe the app as shipped.
