Translate Screenshot Text on Mac
Sometimes OCR is only the first step. You also need to translate the extracted text from a screenshot, image, or clipboard item without rebuilding the whole workflow by hand.
ClariRec supports that workflow on macOS: OCR the screenshot first, then translate the recognized text.
Typical use cases
- Translating UI text from screenshots
- Reading multilingual slides, documents, and scanned images
- Copying text from an image and sending it into your preferred translation provider
How the workflow works
- OCR runs locally on your Mac by default
- Translation happens only if you trigger it
- You can use your configured translation provider, or rely on the macOS 15+ system fallback where supported
Privacy boundary
The OCR step remains local by default. If you trigger translation through a third-party provider, only the text you choose is sent directly to the provider or compatible endpoint you configure. ClariRec does not operate a server that receives that content.
